Should old pages redirect to the homepage?

Only in the rare case that the homepage is an exact approved intent match. The redirect sheet flags weak or unapproved homepage fallbacks.

What should happen to deleted content?

Use a relevant replacement only when one exists. Otherwise document archive, removal, or a 410 decision according to your policy and search needs.

Does the workbook test redirect chains?

Yes. It records the final URL, chain length, destination status, canonical match, indexability, test date, and QA result.

Are the sample rows real data?

No. They use example.com and IDs beginning EXAMPLE-. Replace them before use.
